Natural Environment
This is a picture of the moon. Negative space is used to define the moon but also the trees below it.

This is the Jaguar car logo. Even though the area surrounding the logo isn't solid black it is still a negative space that is used to put the focus on the logo.
Street Signage
This is a regular street sign. The negative space is used to clearly show the meaning of the sign. Many street signs take advantage of the use of negative space.
Automotive Design
This is a plane. Negative space is used in this image to define the shape of the plane.

This is the SoloMid.net website. Negative space is used on this website to define the words and images on it. It makes navigation of the website simple.
Human Anatomy
This is a hand with light shining onto it. Negative space has been used to simplify and imply that the hand is catching light.
Architecture
This is a church designed with negative space. The negative space is the shapes created by the design. although this is not similar to the other examples where darkness or black defines the negative space I believe it is still an example of negative space
Magazine Cover
This is the front cover of an issue of TIME magazine. Negative space has been used to define and simplify the cover.
Film
This is the front cover of Jurassic Park. In this example negative space is used in the dinosaur logo but also around the logo
